SOUND LEARNING Category:  Children's Educational This CD teaches math, science and language arts skills using fun original songs. The CD also features great "Clean-up" and "Hand- washing" songs. The songs themselves deliver curricular material and can be used in the home or classroom. I have also included a 10 minute bonus Rhythm Track. 	BISMILLAH We Begin in the Name of the One Category:  Sufi Music

Bismillah began over a cup of tea. Fattah and I share an interest in our world's spiritual traditions. This set of songs explore sacred phrase from the Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, Islamic traditions. If you look closely at the cover of this CD you'll notice it is a beautiful weaving and that is what we have done with the music. May you enjoy the spirit in which it is presented. Track 1 • Open The Eyes of My Heart From the CD liner notes:  "This song was derived from a popular Christian song. Kris wove the Arabic song of remembrance, "La ilaha illa Llah" (There is no reality but the eternal reality of the one spirit). "Ya Basir" is that aspect of the one that is all-seeing, seeing beyond appearance with the eyes of the heart." Track 2 • Om Nama Shivaya This is a classic Hindu mantra. Shiva is that aspect of the Divine that is the dispeller of ignorance. Repeating sacred phrase helps to release the participant from the mind-stream and to focus on the heart, where love and peace abide. Track 3 • Ishq Allah From the liner notes:  "Ishq Allah Mahbud Lillah (God is Love, Lover and Beloved) comes from the Islamic Tradition. Ishq, divine love, brings us here to be lovers (of both the seen and unseen) and we wish to return to the beloved. It evokes the spirit of the great return. From Spirit we come, and to Spirit we return.
