Drum Making Workshop In this workshop participants make their own Middle Eastern Frame Drum and receive some basic instruction on how to play it. Drums are made from a wood hoop and goat skin. Participants are able to decorate the rim with their own images using acrylic paints. Barry uses basic hand percussion techniques combined with rhythmical games using word, movement and song to guide participants through an inner journey exploring the various facets of cycles via hands-on experiences with a wide variety of musical instruments including drums, bells, bowls and gongs. This class is ideal for anyone wanting to develop their sense of inner rhythm. FEE: $125 per person CAPACITY: This workshop is ideal for 5 - 15 people HOURS: Hours are generally 10 am - 4 pm PHYSICAL NEEDS: We need a space with work tables at which to paint + space to play music.
