PURPOSE:
* To offer members of your organization the opportunity to learn more about eachother, develop more effective communication skills, enhance conflict resolution strategies and create community spirit.

* To offer supervisors an opportunity to assess team members' leadership and problem solving skills in a fun non-threatening environment.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
UNITY WITH A BEAT! programs are available as 1 - 2 hour , half or full day experiences. Ongoing quarterly consultations are also available.

UNITY WITH A BEAT! uses the inherent community building benefits of playing music together combined with other written and verbal exercises. Connections are made between being in tune rhythmically and how this transfers to day-to-day work situations. As a result, participants gain a greater insight into their potential and the positive contributions they can make in an organization.

Using his music therapy and group facilitation background, Barry Bernstein has created a program that utilizes our natural rhythmic abilities by accessing language and movement to create a holistic experience that is accessible to everyone regardless of previous musical training.

Through an initial consultation, each experience is customized to meet the desired goals of your learning community.

"Unity With A Beat was a positive experience for our staff. It helped participants see that even with different approaches, unity as a whole cold be achieved when each person participated toward a common goal. Staff also felt encouraged to extend themselves to do new things knowing they would be encouraged by others. This experience has helped build positive relationships in our workplace. It always brings a smile when someone mentions Unity With A Beat. "
Jaylene Arnett, EES Assistant Program Administrator
Emporia SRS Service Center

"What made your program especially meaningful for this group, and what has caused me to invite you to repeat it with new groups, is the expert way in which you directly tied your music and rhythms to our purpose and content. By doing this, you provided genuine teambuilding and deepened our leaders' understaning of our four key company values."
Diane M. Deaton, Director, Leadership Education and Development
Hoechst Marion Roussel

"I particularly liked the way you incorporated some of the conference issues/themes into the experience. When we moved on to the first speaker following this experience, the energy level of the group was much higher than you would expect at four o'clock in the afternoon."
Joan DeMerchant – Center for Management Assistance

"I must admit, I had some doubts at first! Your relaxed - fun manner plus your ability to draw out the positiveness in people made it a highly effective program."
Bernie Onelio – RE/MAX of Kansas City

"Your ability as a facilitator to match your presentations to the audience was appreciated by the participants. We all have special needs as we break out of our paradigms and you were very helpful to us."
Phil Lotz – Bayer Agricultural Division

"Certainly, you were able to direct a large group of individuals from very diverse backgrounds, and inch them out of their comfort zones to work as a team. And, a team is what we're about."
Pamela Kenyon – Meredith Integrated Marketing

"I have attended hundreds of workshops and have rarely seen speakers who were able to moblilize their audience with such skill. I was truly impressed, particularly in light of this difficult audience, and enjoyed being part of it."
Linda Lubinsky – Kansas Home Care Association
