 Dear Friends, Welcome! Thanks for visiting my website! I am really excited about my Summer 2009 schedule. Shows include visits to Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Missouri. I am performing at 2 Music Festivals this summer. Please visit the links below to see if you can fit one of them into your summer schedule. Flour Power Family Fun Festival • May 29 and 30, 2009 Abilene, KS http://www.mhsks.org/assets/FPFFF/web-content/index.html This year's festival will include a wellness fair, KCBS sanctioned state championship barbeque contest, a Saturday evening concert, car show, poker run, burnout competition, children's activities, food, vendors, and much more. Bongo B is performing throughout the weekend. My Summer Library show is titled, “Doin’ The Dewey Decimal Stomp”. The audience will help me record three different compositions using body percussion, vocals and wax paper. I will then mix down each show and post it to my website. Participants can then download the mp3 file for the show they attended. So check out my calendar and come “get creative at your local library this summer with Bongo Barry. Last summer I worked on a new program, Unity Drum Circle. UDC is a workshop featuring African style drumming which addresses bullying prevention, character education and drug prevention issues. This program is designed for smaller groups and can be scheduled for several classes per day in a school (Grades 4th–8th). Multi-class program discounts are available. It is also perfect for day camps in Kansas and Missouri. NCLB Testing Stress Buster Assembly Programs March and April can be stressful times for students and staff with all the tests being given.
