Dear Friends,

Welcome! Thanks for visiting my website!

I am really excited about my Summer 2008 schedule. I am calling this, “Bongo Barry’s Festival Summer.” I am performing at 3 different Music Festivals this summer. Please visit the links below to see if you can fit one of them into your summer schedule.

Jiggle Jam May 24 and 25, 2008
Crown Center, Kansas City, MO www.kcjigglejam.com
Featured entertainers will include: They Might Be Giants, Justin Roberts, Trout Fishing in America, Tom Chapin, John McCutcheon, Jim "Mr. Stinky Feet" Cosgrove & The Hiccups and yours truly, Bongo Barry.

Wakarusa Music Festival June 5-8, 2008
Lawrence, KS www.wakarusa.com
This is a great music festival at Clinton State Park. Over 60 bands including the Mickey Hart Band. I will be performing in the children’s area daily as well as facilitating the 1,000 person Sunday morning Drum Circle.

Smokey Hill River Festival • June 12-15, 2008
Salina, KS www.riverfestival.com
Are you among those in the know? Now entering its 31st year, the Smoky Hill River Festival is Kansas’ best kept secret. Once you discover it, it’s certain that you’ll always come home to the Smoky Hill River Festival.

My Summer Library show is titled, “Buggies With A Beat!” From Symetry to Science we will be exploring the world of insects. As usual will bring my “Bee Hive” full of musical instruments for all to play. Check my calendar to see when I am in your area.

Last summer I worked on a new program, Unity Drum Circle. UDC is a  workshop featuring African style drumming which addresses bullying prevention, character education and drug prevention issues. This program is designed for smaller groups and can be scheduled for several classes per day in a school (Grades 4th–8th). Multi-class program discounts are available. It is also perfect for day camps in Kansas and Missouri.

NCLB Testing Stress Buster Assembly Programs
March and April can be stressful times for students and staff with all the tests being given. I am offering a UNITY WITH A BEAT! STRESS BUSTER SCHOOL ASSEMBLY DISCOUNT IN MARCH AND APRIL. CONTACT ME FOR DETAILS!!
